- 20 years since Gunners left iconic home
- Classy kit to be worn on the road
- Stars of past & present figure in launch
To mark the 20th anniversary of bidding farewell to the legendary venue in north London, the Gunners have once again teamed up with manufacturers adidas to deliver a special off-white jersey featuring “graphics and trims that reflect the distinctive facades and art deco elegance of Highbury”.
The shirt includes a white polo collar and cuffs that are accented with dark red and golden lines. The kit is considered to “blend modern flair with Arsenal heritage” and features “timeless adidas Originals style”.
The adidas Trefoil logo, which returned to Arsenal’s third kit last season, is incorporated once again. The Premier League giants believe they are delivering a “cohesive, stylish look from head to toe”.
Dutch defender Jurrien Timber has said of the new kit: “We all know how much Highbury means to our supporters, it’s part of the club’s identity. Wearing this kit is a way of honouring that history while inspiring the next generation of Arsenal supporters. It’s a special design, and I’m proud to wear it this season in front of our supporters.”
Arsenal stars Riccardo Calafiori, Timber, Kyra Cooney-Cross, Alessia Russo and Myles Lewis-Skelly have helped to launch the new kit, alongside Highbury-era legends Rachel Yankey and David Seaman, with the jersey set to be worn on the Gunners’ travels in Premier League, Champions League, WSL and domestic cup competitions.
