- Spurs beat Manchester متحد in Bilbao
- Levy has overseen immense change at Spurs
- Oversaw new stadium construction and multiple near-misses
In an interview with The Overlap and Gary Neville, Levy insists that he will eventually receive credit for his role in transforming Spurs into a modern, elite European club, winning the Europa League last season. This summer, however, the club made a change in the dugout, appointing Thomas Frank to replace the Australian, after a 17th-placed finish that sparked multiple protests against Levy and ENIC’s ownership of the north London club.u0026nbsp;
Levy has overseen the construction of Spurs’ new stadium, which is widely regarded as one of the finest in Europe, but has been accused of failing to invest adequately in the squad, as he has also watched on as the club have endured multiple near-misses, including a defeat in the Champions League final, to Liverpool, and more than one failed الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز title challenge.u0026nbsp;
Levy said: “I think it’s one of those situations – when I’m not here I’m sure I’ll get the credit.
“When you come here and look at this wonderful building [Tottenham Hotspur Stadium], and the fact that other clubs are now trying to copy what we’re doing, that should be a sign that maybe we did do something bold, and something right.
“If you look at what we’ve done, we haven’t had somebody pumping hundreds of millions into the club, we’ve done it all on our own.
“We have been entrepreneurial and have increased our revenues to enable us to compete the best we can today.
“We’re all in a chain and I accept that there are certain clubs that are bigger than us, but this league is very competitive, and we can still beat a club with bigger revenues.”
