- Palmer set for ريكسهام مخرج
- Linked with Championship move
- Surprise transfer on the cards
After falling out of favour at Wrexham over the course of 2025, the 33-year-old has been told he is free to head to pastures new this summer. Reports over a مدينة سالفورد move have been quashed, but links with Championship rivals شيفيلد وينزداي و الدوري الثاني strugglers Crawley Town and Bristol Rovers have persisted. It seems none of these teams will sign the 6ft 5in player, however.
Palmer, who has helped Wrexham achieve three straight promotions from the الدوري الوطني during his time at the club, is reportedly heading to League Two outfit Swindon Town. Journalist Pete O’Rourke states he is having a medical at the Wiltshire outfit on Thursday, and the move is set to be completed within the next 24 hours.
Palmer joined Wrexham from AFC Wimbledon in January 2022 for a then-club record fee of £300,000. He has since gone on to score 46 goals in 150 matches in all competitions, the last two of which came in the Welsh team’s penalty shootout win over هال City in round one of the كأس كاراباو earlier this month.
It may just be a matter of time before former Leyton Orient star Palmer is announced as a Swindon player. The veteran, who is a fan favourite at Stok Cae Ras, will go down as a Wrexham legend after his efforts over the years.
