Here is why the Blues are ‘reluctant’ to offload the 24-year-old for the time being.
The Telegraph states that until Isak’s future is resolved, Chelsea aren’t keen on letting Jackson go just yet. If Liverpool signed the Swede, Newcastle may move for Jackson but if Isak stays put, the Reds could swoop for the Blues man. And with Christopher Nkunku nearing a permanent switch to เอซี มิลาน, Chelsea believe they can afford to ‘hold their nerve’ over Jackson, who is also on Aston Villa‘s radar.
เซเนกัล international Jackson, who is currently behind Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in the attacking pecking order at Chelsea, could join Bayern on an initial loan but the Blues want to insert an obligation to make the move permanent in the deal.
It is said that Liverpool are not giving up on trying to sign the 25-year-old Isak this summer but time is running out for a deal to get done before the September 1 transfer deadline. A frantic final few days of the window appears to be in store.
