Tomasson has warned Isak is short of peak fitness following his falling out with Newcastle over his desired move to Liverpool. Tomasson has, however, spoken very highly of the match-winning qualities and mental fortitude the Sweden international possesses.
Isak to Liverpool has been the headline-grabbing transfer saga of the summer. It finally looks like it’s heading towards the end game after Newcastle agreed a deal for Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade, potentially clearing the way for Isak to head to the champions at Anfield.
Tomasson said: “Can he play 90 minutes? Of course not. Not at all. Alex is a very professional player, a strong character, and he has worked hard. He is a game changer.
