According to Foot Mercato the Italian and French clubs were working closely to make the deal work after the forward reached an agreement to seal a move back to the side. However, the Turin team’s offer of a loan deal with an option – but no obligation – to buy for around €50 million (£43m/$59m) did not satisfy the French champions, who have now decided to pull out of talks.

Kolo Muani spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Turin after falling out of favour under Enrique in Paris. He scored eight goals and recorded one assist in 16 Serie A appearances, thus pleasing the management, who opted for a new deal with the striker. Juventus general manager Damien Comolli has confirmed that financial regulations have prevented them from matching PSG’s asking price, but stressed they will survive with Dusan Vlahovic and Jonathan David available in attack.

The Juve general manager stated, according to RMC Sport: “We had a few discussions with PSG, but it didn’t go any further. I don’t know how it will end. We have to pay attention to UEFA’s financial fair play. Every euro counts. We already have two very good strikers with Dusan Vlahovic, who will stay with us, and Jonathan David. With those two, we are very happy with what we have.”

The 26-year-old is not a part of Luis Enrique‘s plans at PSG and both the player and club will hope they can find a new destination for him before the transfer window closes on Monday.
