Isak spent the entire summer pushing for a move away from St James’ Park. He effectively went on strike at one stage, as he stayed away from training and worked by himself. He even went public with his desire to end his relationship with the Magpies. The move finally happened on deadline day when Newcastle sanctioned the striker’s record-breaking transfer to Anfield.

With the record move now sealed, Isak’s agent Vlado Lemic has seemingly taken a brutal swipe at the Magpies over their handling of the entire episode during the summer window.

Lemic sent a cryptic message to talkSPORT which was read out by host Jim White on the White and show. It read: “It’s when you have someone to be with, but it is even nicer when you know who you will never be with again.”

Right now, Isak is on international duty and set to feature for in their upcoming qualifiers against Slovenia and Kosovo on September 5 and 8, respectively. The striker could make his Liverpool debut once club football returns in a clash with on September 14.
