Rashford only joined the Spanish champions on July 23, with the club successfully registering him with La Liga the following month. The 英格蘭 international had previously been exiled – alongside Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, 安東尼 and Tyrell Malacia – by 團結的 manager Ruben Amorim.
However, according to a report in El Nacional the Barcelona hierarchy are contemplating cancelling Rashford’s loan move amid concerns over his performances. The 27-year-old featured in the Blaugrana’s opening three La Liga games in 2025-26 but was substituted at half-time as his side trailed 萊萬特 2-0 on August 23, before they went on to complete a dramatic 3-2 comeback.
One person who is not worried about Rashford, though, is England manager Thomas Tuchel. The German has selected the forward in his squad for the Three Lions’ 世界盃-qualifying double headeragainst 安道爾 and Serbia this month.
Rashford will be hoping to get his season truly up and running when England host Andorra at Villa Park on Saturday. Meanwhile, Barcelona are next in action when they entertain 瓦倫西亞 in La Liga on September 14. Hansi Flick’s men took seven points from a possible nine in their first three league fixtures in 2025-26, defeating 馬略卡島 and Levante and drawing with 巴列卡諾隊.
