The Guardian earlier reported that a frustrated Mainoo wants to leave 團結的 before the summer transfer window closes next Monday, after being frozen out by manager Amorim. Mainoo’s game time at Old Trafford significantly dropped due to multiple injuries throughout the 2024-25 campaign, while he has not played a single minute of the new season.
According to the Daily Mail several 英超聯賽 clubs, along with Madrid giants Real and Atletico, have shown interest in signing the United sensation. The clubs from the Spanish capital are eyeing a season-long loan move for the English midfielder.
The Red Devils, however, are unlikely to let Mainoo leave on a temporary basis and have no urgency to let him go at all. Amorim currently has four options in the central midfield role and as a result, until a sizeable offer for a permanent transfer comes their way, the Premier League giants won’t sanction a deal.
Amori’s side are all set to face 格里姆斯比 Town in a second round 卡拉寶杯 final this Wednesday, before hosting 伯恩利 in the Premier League on August 30.
