這 葡萄牙 icon has previously revealed he is keen to hit an ambitious target of 1,000 career goals before he finally hangs up his 靴子. The 40-year-old is edging closer to his dream, with his latest strike for Portugal against Hungary taking him up to 943 goals so far in his incredible career.
Ronaldo signed a new two-year contract with Al-Nassr in June, giving him plenty of time to go on and hit the 1,000 goal barrier. Former 皇家馬德里 star Sneijder, who left the club shortly after Ronaldo joined in the summer of 2009, has now revealed that he has heard the Portuguese is keen for him to come out of retirement to play for Al-Nassr and help him reach his target.
Sneijder revealed he has recently spoken to Al-Nassr’s new technical director of Simão Coutinho, a good friend of Ronaldo’s, and was told the club captain would love to have him at the 沙特職業聯賽 side.
He told Rondo via Voetbalzone: “I started talking to him and joked about a contract with Al-Nassr, apparently the technical director put it to Ronaldo. Ronaldo was keen. He told Coutinho he should sign me so I could assist his 1,000th goal.”
Ronaldo has started the 2025-26 season well, scoring four goals in his last three games for club and country. The veteran striker will return to action in the Saudi Pro League on Sunday when Al-Nassr take on Al-Kholood.
